MINI BLENDER or SHAKER CUPS
Great for mixing protein shakes.
MINI FOOD PROCESSOR
This is a "must have" for
making pureed foods. The
blender tends to liquify the
food.
CLEAR (see through) MEASURING CUPS
Dr. Kim wants you to measure your food,
not weigh it.
NO SUGAR SWEETENER
If you need additional sweet!
SMALL NOTEBOOK
In the beginning it is hard to keep track
of everything we need to remember, so I
use this notebook to track my blood sugar,
fluid and protein intake, web sites, books,
protein powders, etc. I find it very helpful.
PILL ORGANIZER
You don't really need this, but
I like this kind of stuff. As time
goes on, you will be taking more
supplements, this is just my way
of organizing them.
PILL CRUSHER
I am using this to crush the
Potassium pill I need to take
for the first 3 months after
surgery. I tried with the back
of a spoon and the pill went
flying through the kitchen.
This is a MINI MEASURE
It is a shot glass with measurements on it.
It is great to measure out all my foods. I
found the larger cups weren't too clear
and I was having trouble with accurate
measuring. I got it from Bed, Bath, and
Beyond. They have great stuff!
I have read some blogs where people are recommending
this book to WLS patients. I went to the book store and took a look at it. What caught my eye with the book is that it has 135 low carb, high protein recipes. I bought the book because many of the recipes sounded so tasty! It wasn't that expensive and Susan does tell her Weight Loss story and gives a lot of tips and recommendations. I am reading it now and it is pretty interesting.
